United’s Financial Guidance Enhances Skills for Future Manufacturing Careers

CHICAGO – United Credit Union and Manufacturing Renaissance collaborated to offer exclusive training to Chicago residents in both manufacturing and finance.

The Manufacturing Renaissance’s Young Manufacturers Association empowers groups of young individuals to explore careers in manufacturing. Their six-week program provided participants with essential training and networking opportunities for specialized employment. United Credit Union supported this initiative by offering classroom space and financial education.

During the program, participants engaged in specialized financial education. United Credit Union’s Marketing & Social Impact Manager, Mayra Avila, covered topics like budgeting, investments, and employee benefits. United’s CEO, Mario Aguirre, emphasized the organization’s commitment to creating a secure environment for both manufacturing training and financial learning.

“We provided the students with information they can immediately apply to both their finances and their jobs,” Aguirre explained. “People are often intimidated to ask questions about investing in 401Ks, IRAs, and other retirement accounts.”

Aguirre shared that United is excited about future collaborations with Manufacturing Renaissance.
