Your MasterCard® Debit Card is an easy way for you to pay for your purchases and have them deducted from you CHECKING ACCOUNT. Just think, no checks to write. You receive a monthly statement which details your purchases and cash withdrawals made.

Where Can I Use My United Credit Union MasterCard® Debit Card?

You can use your MasterCard® anywhere that a MasterCard® is accepted: restaurants, retail stores, supermarkets, airlines, hotels, etc. This card can be used in over 14.5 million locations worldwide.

How Do I Use My United Credit Union MasterCard® Debit Card?

When purchasing good, services or products, in place of writing and signing a check, you will sign a sales transaction slip. Upon completion, purchase amount will automatically be deducted from your Checking account at United Credit Union. Make certain you receive a receipt for each purchase or ATM transaction and immediately record this information in your check register. You may also make select purchases using your Personal Identification Number (PIN). Again, upon completion of the transaction, the amount will be deducted from you Checking account at United Credit Union. Use caution in making any financial transaction.

What About Returning Merchandise Purchased?

It works the same way as if you purchased merchandise with a check or credit card. Save your receipt, just in case you need to return an item purchased. You must resolve any issue/dispute directly with the merchant.

Monthly Checking Statement

You will receive a monthly United Credit Union statement detailing all completed ATM withdrawals and purchase transactions, including the date of the transaction, location and amount of the debit.

Use as an ATM Card

Your United Credit Union MasterCard® Debit Card may be used at any ATM that accepts the MasterCard®, PLUS®, or CO-OP ATM Network® logo for accessing your checking or savings account for making withdrawals. You have the convenience of 24/7 access to your Savings or Checking accounts. You can use your MasterCard® Debit Card FREE of charge at any United Credit Union operated ATM. A fee may be assessed by other ATM proprietors.

Safeguard Your MasterCard® Debit Card

When you are approved and receive your United Credit Union MasterCard® Debit Card, you will receive, within 10 days under separate mailing, an assigned Personal Identification Number (PIN). Please guard this number. Do Not Write Your PIN on the Card. When you receive your United Credit Union MasterCard® Debit Card, you will also receive instructions and a phone number for card activation. Kindly follow the instructions. The card will not function without proper authorization.

Fees

There are no fees for making your United Credit Union MasterCard® Debit Card purchases, or use any of the United Credit Union operated ATMs. A fee will be assessed for PIN activated transactions over the minimum free transaction allowed.

What If My United Credit Union MasterCard® Debit Card is Lost or Stolen?

If you believe your card has been lost, stolen or compromised, immediately call 800-472-3272. Your card will be stopped from being used. Upon receipt of a written request and a copy of a Police Department notification of a lost or stolen United Credit Union MasterCard® Debit Card report, we will order for you a new MasterCard® Debit Card.

MasterCard® Debit Card

Your MasterCard® card is eligible for MasterCard® SecureCode™ – a free, new online security service to help guard against unauthorized use of your MasterCard® online. The next time you shop online at a participating merchant, a window will appear asking you to confirm your identity and create a personal SecureCode™. Once enrolled, enjoy added peace of mind when you shop online.
